Everyday bad manners are now cartoon creatures. You head out, catch them with your phone camera, complete your CívicDex and score points for your neighbourhood league. Never real people.
Pick a player name. The app gives you a 12-word phrase: write it down on paper, it's the only thing that recovers your account. Then you create a passkey and sign in with your phone's fingerprint, face or PIN. No passwords.
In the Hunt tab, point the camera at the street and tap scan. If it recognises an object from the list, the creature appears in its place with its card.
Get the creature in your sights and swipe the Cívic-Ball upwards. If it dodges, it jumps aside: turn your phone, aim again and throw once more.
Every capture is saved in your CívicDex, sorted by category. Species you don't have yet show up as silhouettes.
Your captures and missions add Civic Points (CP) to the weekly league. A new one starts every seven days.
Your phone spots objects in the street and each one wakes up its caraduras. These are the ones in the Europe season, the one that's open now.
People don't count: the recogniser ignores them. The CívicDex categories are transport, parking, pets, street and noise.
The creature stays anchored where you were aiming: if you turn your phone, it moves to the other side of the screen, as if it were standing on the pavement. When it's in your sights, swipe the Cívic-Ball upwards. Every throw uses up a ball, so don't throw without aiming.
In the Arsenal you have ammo that helps with every throw:
Each species is worth more or less depending on its rarity. CP count towards the league and, once it's switched on, towards redeeming rewards.
Each season has a single mythic, worth ×2. In Europe it's Escapetrucatus Nocturnus.
Every capture gives you 120 experience points. Each level takes a little more than the last, and every few levels you move up a rank:
The year has 52 league weeks, starting on 1 January. Each week, whoever scores the most CP by hunting and completing missions wins, and the last one is the grand final. Whoever contributes the most earns the title of Scourge of Bad Manners.

Sample missions
Caraduras are repeat offenders: where one gets caught, it comes back to lurk. Every capture shows up on the map straight away, at the spot where it was caught, or in its zone if it carries the hunter's name. Double-tap a zone to see what's been caught there and by whom.
Open the live mapThe camera is just the backdrop. What you catch is always a creature drawn on top: we don't store faces or number plates, and nothing is shared.
We laugh at bad manners, never at whoever commits them. Never post or share anyone.
Don't confront anyone or step into the road to hunt. No caradura is worth a scare.
Nobody from Caradura GO will ever ask you for it. Whoever has it can get into your account.
A phone with a camera and a connection. You play from your phone's browser and can add it to your home screen like an app. The App Store and Google Play version will come later.
The camera only recognises the objects in the list above: get a little closer and make sure the whole object is in view. The first time, your phone downloads the recogniser, so you need a connection.
No. The image is analysed on your own phone to work out what object is in front of it, and it's never saved or sent. People are ignored: they never turn into creatures.
Anyone. The species, the time and your player name are published straight away, in the list for their zone (a few blocks), never the exact spot: that way nobody can follow you street by street. If you turn on «Hunt anonymously» in Settings, they show at the exact spot but without your name, and not even the server knows they're yours.
Not if you kept your 12-word phrase: with it you recover your account on another phone and create a new passkey. Without the phrase there's no way to recover it, not even for us.
